Black Sesame & Kinako Cookies Ingredients(15pieces)
Preparation time: 15 minutes
○ Plain flour … 80g
○ Roasted soy bean flour (Kinako) … 20g
○ Vegan butter … 50g (room temperature)
○ Brown sugar … 40g
○ Black sesame seeds … 10g
○ Soy milk/plant-based milk … 30g
Step-by-step instructions
[1] Preparation

・Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
・Measure out the vegan butter, brown sugar, plain flour, Soy bean flour(kinako), black sesame seeds and soy milk into a bowl.
[2] Cream the butter and sugar together

Using a rubber spatula, mix the vegan butter and brown sugar thoroughly until creamy.
[3] Add the dry ingredients

Sift the plain flour and soy bean flour (kinako), then mix with a rubber spatula. Once roughly combined, add the black sesame seeds and mix further.
[4] Add soy milk

Add the soy milk and mix well.
*If the mixture is too thick, add a little more soy milk ☺︎
[5] Shape the cookie dough

Divide the dough into 15g portions and roll each one into a ball using the palm of your hand. Place them on a baking tray, leaving space between them.
Gently flatten each ball with the palm of your hand.
[6] Bake cookies

Bake them in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for about 10–12 minutes.
[7] And you’re done!

Take them out of the oven once the surface has turned a light golden brown! Let them cool before serving.
